Safari Legacy specialises in natural history safaris to some of the greatest wildlife
destinations on earth. With 40 years of experience, our purpose is to provide
a better understanding and appreciation for nature so that our earth's great
natural wonders are preserved for the benefit of future generations. Our
passion is to share our enthusiasm through education and exploration of these
fragile and ever changing places.
In order to deal with the problems that come about in wildlife areas surrounding National Parks, Game
Controlled Areas and Migration routes, Safari Legacy have initiated a landmark scheme to involve
villagers, tribesmen, landowners and farmers that live in wildlife areas in the conservation process. In
return for habitat protection and the careful supervision of natural, sustainable resources in their area,
Safari Legacy have set up a fund that benefits the Indigenous communities with direct revenue and
community-chosen development projects funded by the tourism that is conducted in their areas. We
believe that by directly involving the peoples who live amongst the wildlife, we can unsure the continued
stewardship of natural sustainable resources and provide a worthwhile alternative to the poaching,
deforestation, and land-clearing that increasingly threatens marginalized areas around National Parks
and across the East African ecosystem as a whole.
